Mrs. Paul Helmecke 69 died at the local hospital Monday night March 17 after severe burns from a gas stove February 25. Funeral services were held March 17 at Comanche Funeral Home with Rev J W Tickner officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Surviving are six of seven children and other relatives.

Obituary for M. B. Rogers of Comanche County
M. B. Rogers 82 longtime Comanche County resident died at his daughter’s home in South Comanche Friday morning after a heart attack while playing dominoes in the courthouse basement. Funeral services were held at Mercer Gap with the Rev. J. D. Smoot officiating and interment in Mercer Gap Cemetery. Survived by daughters Mrs. Stevens Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Crow and son Fred Rogers. Mrs. Rogers predeceased him about 20 years ago. Week-end visitors to the Fort Worth Fat Stock Show included Buster Green and Ted Littlejohn.

Comanche marks the formal opening of the Graham McNutt Humble Station five blocks east of the square on Fort Worth Highway. The modern service station, built since December 1, features stucco brick and tile, 360 feet of driveways, tile rest rooms and showers, and will carry Humble products including Atlas tires and accessories. Joe Tupin, Jake Graham, and Carl McNutt will operate the station with Graham as manager and notable Humble officials attending the opening.
