History Of Comanche Church Lot In Texas
The article traces the 1861 dedication of Block 20 in Comanche for a Methodist church and the 1877 1878 sale and reassembly of parcels to build and later expand the sanctuary. It covers loaned funds in 1929 to start the present sanctuary, eventual full repayment by 1962, parsonage moves, and the 1970 purchase returning ownership of the SW quarter. First United Methodist Church now highlights an upcoming open house for the new educational building.
