Mr and Mrs Richie Boyd spent Sunday in Denton with Ms Boyd s nephew and family Mr and Mrs Weldon Gressett and children Her brother and family Mr and Mrs Vaden Gressett and Pam of Bristow Oklahoma joined them in Denton for a visit.

Funeral services for Ruby Hall 61 of Comanche were pending at Comanche Funeral Home. She died Thursday morning Mar 5 at 10 am in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Hall served as building custodian for the First Baptist Church and recently worked with Western Hills Nursing Home. Survived by wife Jewel mother Ollie Hall sister Winnie Mae Johnson and five brothers Truman Marvin Cecil Willie and Donald Hall all of Comanche.
Thirty-one members of the Youth Choir from First Baptist Church directed by David Venable will attend the Festival of Praise in Fort Worth on Friday March 6. The convention center event gathers 10 099 Baptist youth from across the state with college choir participants and will be broadcast on Station WFAA 820 at 7 30 PM.
Mrs Oswell Brightman and Miss Hattie Brightman traveled to Dallas to meet Oswell Brightman who flew in from Baltimore Maryland to Love Field.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Tupin traveled to Fort Worth for business and spent the night in Grand Prairie with his sister Mrs. W. V. Strip ling.
David Coye Willingham, son of Mr and Mrs Coye Willingham of Gustine, earned the Doctor of Philosophy degree in science education from the University of Texas at the close of the fall semester. He previously earned BS and MS degrees from North Texas State University and an MA in zoology from UT. He taught at Stephenville High School and has been an instructor at Lee College Baytown for five years.
The family of Floyd King expresses gratitude to everyone who offered comfort during the illness and after the death. They thank those who brought food flowers cards visited the home attended the services and contributed in his memory and thank the staff of Mims Hospital for their care.
Comanche students receive fall 1969 Tarleton honors with three on the B Honor Roll and nine on the Distinguished Student list. Names include Larry Blackwood Davis Parsons Mary Russell Linda Carleton Kenneth Carnes Martha Cottrell Sue Cox Shelley Houck Shannon Ingram Ronald Livingston Kathryn Spalding Avlyn Speck and others. Sue Cox elected freshman class favorite. Ginger Seay and Charles Williams cited for honors. Alpha Chi inducted 33 Tarleton members.
