County Schools Receive $59,736 in Aid for 1939-40
Public schools in Comand county have been granted 59736 in equalization aid for the 1939-40 school year, L A Woods State Superintendent of Schools reported today. The full salary aid amounting to 28357 has been paid, while county schools have received 75 percent of 25326 for transportation. High school tuition figures await applications.

Ten Wild Steers Bought for Fort Worth Rodeo

Paving Contract Let For Highway No 26 To Gustine
The state awarded an 11.6 mile paving contract on Highway 26 from Co manches city limits to Gustine to Ernest Loyd Construction Company of Dallas for 26060 dollars. Engineers began work Monday on surveying the route of Highway No. 36 West from Sweetwater Creek to Stag Creek a distance of about five miles.
