Comanche County To Select Peanut Queen
Comanche County plans to choose a Texas Peanut Queen at the PAR Country Club on July 19. The event is co sponsored by Southwestern Shellers Association Southwestern Peanut Growers Association and Eastland Jaycees with a $500 scholarship for the winner who advances to the state contest in Eastland on Sept 12 13 and 20. Entries close July 12 and sponsors may be groups clubs or businesses.

Averages show about 41 dollars daily for a couple on 300 miles per day, including meals and lodging but excluding admissions.
