A district court grand jury met in Comanche with Judge W J Oxford presiding in place of ill Judge R B Cross. 46 Farms In County Get FHA Loans

In Comanche County, 46 farm families are using Farmers Home Administration farm ownership loans to buy or improve their holdings. The county supervisor, Robert C. Toon, notes the first loan was in 1940 and about 68 families have used this loan since then. Typical farms bought a decade ago ranged 100 to 160 acres, while those funded in 1956 and 1957 average 250 acres or more. Loans can run up to 40 years, with most families repaying in 10 to 20 years.
