The young people Sunday school class at the Presbyterian church held a pleasant garden gathering on the lawn of the Holt home Tuesday. Hosts Mrs Ed Wilson and the class members organized games and served ice cream and cakes. The event concluded with good will and reflections on their work in the cause. Gate falls on child injuring four year old in Newburg

Herman Nicholson four years old, son of Mr and Mrs Van Nicholson, was injured when a gate fell on his leg while he tried to open it in Newburg last Tuesday. The gate was not securely attached to the post and broke his leg between knee and thigh. The child is improving and expected to rapidly recover. Mrs Nicholson is daughter of Capt W T Dobbs of Comanche.

He is described as a deep thinker and forceful speaker in the region, offering benefit to listeners.
