W Holt Harris led 320 Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce boosters on the Texan swing, visiting Comanche last Saturday night. The parade and courthouse lawn welcome featured remarks by Hilton Burks, Clarence Ousley, Mayor W D Davis and William James. The excursion aimed to boost northern Texas trade and bonds with Panther City ahead of the homeward return.

Miss Sarah Ann Hutchison died at her home in Comanche on Friday May 17 1912 after a long illness. Born February 18 1885 in Jasper County Georgia she lived with her brother J W Hutchison who never married. She leaves four brothers Judge T L of Comanche J P and D D Hutchison Houston attorneys. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev F T Charlton officiating.

Good Roads Special to Visit Comanche in 1912
A Frisco Railway Good Roads Special will depart Browns ville Texas on March 25 1912 for a four month tour covering about 15000 miles through Texas Louisiana Missouri Kansas Arkansas Oklahoma Mississippi and Alabama. The train featuring four cars will carry road construction models and equipment with 100 lantern slides and over 300 lectures at stops including Comanche Texas on June 4 1912 at 2 00 PM.

Rumors report Pomp Henderson a longtime Comanche resident dropped dead on a Plainview street Thursday. The dispatch notes failed details and reports 37 million horsepower potential in U S streams with only six million utilized. Clarence V T Richason was electrocuted in Boston last Monday for the murder of Avis Linell, confessing before death.

C C Callaway died in San Antonio on May 14 at age 73 3 months 18 days He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery Comanche on May 16 under Masonic auspices Rev F T Charlton conducted the funeral services Born January 29 1839 in Coosa County Alabama he moved to Texas in 1844 served in the Confederate Army 1861 married Louise Caroline Atwood in 1869 He moved to Mercer's Gap Comanche County in 1877 and died there He leaves two daughters and six sons and several grandchildren The family extends sympathy to friends.
