Hasse Texas Remembered From Cordwood Junction Roots
The article recalls Hasse’s rise as a railroad tied town named for Cordwood Junction and its early industry. It details post office beginnings, stock farming, King Cotton, and the 1904 to 1925 boom with a bank, stores, churches, schools, and notable residents such as Mollie Gaines, Hoxey Ladd, and Andrew Roberson, ending as highway travel shifted commerce away.
