Jack and Joe Shelton of Brownwood known as Shelton Brothers have two Jersey herd sires named Jolly's Cowslip of P. H. 190538 and Benedictine's Ruler 215119 qualified as Silver Medal Bulls. A. L. Darnell of the Dairy Department at A and M College notes these two of three silver medal bulls in Texas Jersey history.

Pet's Oxford Bess 667515, a pure bred Jersey cow in the herd of TLE Hughes of Dublin Texas, completed an official production test. At age 2 years 7 months she produced 11 025 pounds of milk and 584.42 pounds of butterfat in 12 months, averaging 5.20 percent butterfat and over 50 pounds butterfat per month for four months, earning Register of Merit from the American Jersey Cattle Club.
