County Runoffs and Primary Votes Across Comanche County
Comanche County held runoffs and a primary with 4066 votes cast for governor candidates versus 5400 in the prior primary. Wardlaw and Moody fought closely for governor while Blanton edged the field in the senatorial race by 62 votes, and Barry Miller led in lieutenant governor. Oscar Callaway won a dominant countywide endorsement for district office. Homer C. DeWolfe won the Rep seat. Yom L. Robinson carried all three counties for District Attorney. Following the February 18 1928 Commissioners Court order District Judge Joe Eidson on Tuesday issued an order abolishing the County Auditor position in Comanche County effective July 31. The auditor had been appointed for a year starting August 1 1927 per the Court's request.
