Ernest Wells Shows Skill in Flint Arrowheads

Two Old Timers On Visit Here
W H Acton of Houston retired building superintendent who lived in Comanche 1881 to 1896 visited Tuesday to reconnect with old friends. He searched every drug store for a Fleming Cox postcard picture and found none. Vera Featherston Back of McLean also visited Comanche Monday recalling her childhood when Rev E B Featherston was pastor here in the 1880s. Rev Featherston, aged 90, lives in Aspermont and will soon publish A Pioneer Speaks.

The Comanche Amateur Roping Club defeated Coleman business men in a roping contest at Comanche's lighted arena. Walter Hill posted top times of 17.18 and 21 seconds across three runs, with Clint Cagar close behind at 21.23. Wayne Ewing led Coleman with 17.5 seconds rope and tie. Bob Littlejohn of Comanche and Sonny Boy Roberts of Stephenville were arrested Tuesday night by Sheriff Wid Spivey for burglarizing Clay Building Material Company. Entry was gained by cutting a screen and window glass. they did not reach the safe and nothing was missing. Bond was set at $1000 each, and they are held in the Comanche jail.

Absentee Ballots Trim County Count to Fifty-Seven Cast

First Week of Court House Opens in Comanche
