The article notes scattered weekend shoppers in Comanche, with crowds moved to the Auction Barn and Drive-In Theatre. It cites storefronts along the square and East Central Marshall’s Cafe as busy, while blaming more car travel and better roads for lower Saturday crowds. It advocates weekend bargains and local advertising to revive retail draw. It highlights Dr. Jimmy Schiller filming town scenes at Mayor Oswell Brightman’s request and praises past county progress and current leaders in agricultural outreach.
