Pallbearers from Comanche—Harry Cloud Porter McCarroll Arthur Phifer Walter Roberson Hip Arthur and Walter Chapman. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery after firing salute by twelve Camp Bowie soldiers. Surviving wife and eighteen month old son Larry Mack parents J B Loudermilk Sr four brothers sisters and other relatives listed. Family notified last Thursday body accompanied by Navy officer and relatives from San Diego and Sheppard Field.

Sugar Ration Changes Allow Extra Sugar With Stamp No 7
Stamp No 5 of War Ration Book One now valid for two pounds of sugar. Sugar on Stamp No 5 can be obtained anytime before July 25. On July 9 the Comanche County War Price and Rationing Board received word that two extra pounds may be issued with Stamp No 7. This additional sugar with Stamp No 7 is usable from July 10 to August 22.

Virgil Cash, former Comanche constable, suffered burns to hands and face and extensive bruising when his car ran off a highway near San Saba Monday. He swerved to avoid another vehicle, plunged down a 40 foot embankment, and burst into flames. Passenger Leonard Mitchell escaped with minor injuries.
