Comanche Schools Lead Scrap Paper Drive

Pvt Rex Evans 24 son of Mr and Mrs Clayte Evans of Comanche was reported missing in action in Germany on December 23 by War Department telegram received this week by his wife Elsie Mae Evans of De Leon. She has two letters dated after December 20 and January 3 saying he was in a hospital and doing alright. The couple have a two year old daughter Carolyn Ann living with Elsie Mae in De Leon.

Technician Fifth Grade Collier Pope of Comanche son of Mr and Mrs Roy Pope is missing in action since December 19 in Luxemburg per War Department telegram. Lt. Wyatt Lee Morris, former Sidney Public Schools teacher and coach, was slightly wounded by Japanese shrapnel in Leyte, Philippines.
