Fletcher Addresses Lions on Our American Heritage
Superintendent S. H. Fletcher spoke to the Lions Club on Our American Heritage. Forty seven Lions and one visitor attended a fish supper before the program. Next meeting January 26 with publicity committee in charge. Lion Alton Davis chair, Lions James Wilkerson and Jim Steele assistants. Jimmy Blanton and his melody boys to perform an old-time musical string breakdown. Mile of Dimes drive added 179.79 to the charity fund for charitable uses. The club delivered 15 baskets of groceries to the needy at Christmas under Lion President James Slider. Readings secured from the school nurse and church groups. The club now meets at 6:30, meals and program end about 7:30.
