High marksman Lt G A Davis tops Day Fighter Meet at Yuma
Lieutenant G A Davis, husband of Linda Godfrey of Comanche, led the day fighter aerial gunnery meet at Yuma Arizona with the highest individual marks. A Naval Operations message praised his outstanding performance in winning the day fighter phase and the Earle Trophy. Captain Iverson placed second individually. Mrs Davis is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Vernon Godfrey of Comanche.

PFC Skaggs Serves In Germany With Armored Division
PFC Willie A. Skaggs 23 son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron B Skanes Route 2 De Leon serves in Germany with the 4th Armored Division LeClerc rifle and pistol team. He has been overseas since May and is a driver in Company B of the division 41st Infantry based in New Ulm. Skaggs completed basic training at Fort Hood and previously worked for General Motors in Arlington before enlisting in December 1958. His wife Anna is with him in Germany.
