J E Fitzgerald of Stephenville argues in The Dallas Morning News that banning dental advertising reflects poorly on lawmakers and consumers. Roy E Gully formerly of Bal linger is installed as the Church of Christ minister at Comanche. He and Mrs Gully with their baby occupy an apartment at the Claude Cox residence. Gully, an ex student of Abilene Christian College, preached his first appointment last Sunday and will lead services each Sunday morning and evening.
H. L. Harris, previously a traveling salesman for Community Public Service, becomes manager of the local ice plant, replacing Charles Ragland who departs for Paris. Harris has resided in Comanche about a year and led the Cyclerator sales district, noted as a top company performer.

The C. F. Williams Grocery has relocated this week to the Tate building on the south side of the square, replacing Hicks' Fruit Stand. The shop is being attractively fixed up and arranged for business with Miss Lucille and Dewey Williams in charge during Mr. Williams' absence.
Tamale School to sponsor a cage tournament for boys and girls on January 14 15. Pooddalap Superintendent P E Henry expects top teams from this state section to compete. Trophies awarded to winning teams and individual awards to top performers.
Austin dispatch notes Lewis Goodrich district attorney from Shamrock was first state candidate to pay the filing fee for the 1938 campaign. He is a former Comanche County boy and 154 graduate of Comanchierie School.
Charles A. Kyle, Brownwood district officer for the State Employment Service, announces biweekly Wednesday claim and benefit settlements under the Social Security Act for the state. His office is in the Masonic Building adjacent to J B. Arthur’s room, with a full time clerk expected later in Comanche.
