Texas Farmers to be Interviewed on 1976 Production Costs
Texas Crop and Livestock Reporting Service will survey a cross section of Texas farmers this month to determine 1976 input expenses for crops and livestock. In 1975 the average on farm production cost topped 29 000 dollars with feed, rent and livestock purchases as major components. The citrus crop for 1976 77 is estimated to exceed 50 per cent of the 1974 75 season. Oranges and grapefruit rise in forecast while rainfall slows harvest in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
