A traffic signal light was installed on the southeast corner of the Comanche square by the Texas Highway Department and donated to the City. The City will pay for the electricity. A second light will be installed later on the southwest corner.

Harold Edwards Injured After Fall At Grammar School
Harold Edwards a 12 year old son of Mr and Mrs Jess Edwards was injured Tuesday when he fell about twelve feet from a fire escape at Comanche Grammar School. He suffered a broken arm severe cuts and bruises and a possible concussion. Doctors reported one arm broken and possibly both but movement was not possible due to shock. Condition improved Wednesday and arms expected to be set Thursday.

Pioneer Pettit Citizen Is Dead
William Brim aged 77 longtime Pettit resident died after a long illness at his son Talbert Brim’s home. Funeral services were held at Pettit Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Scott officiating. Interment followed in Carlton Cemetery. He is survived by his two daughters Mrs. Lee Patton of Gustine and Mrs. Lillian Stovall of San.

H L Stewart was re elected president of the Comanche Chamber of Commerce at the new board meeting Tuesday afternoon with A P Cox named vice president and Ira Clemons treasurer. Manager secretary election postponed until after the subscription drive. Finance committee aims to lift monthly funds from about 145 to 200 for promotion and worthwhile projects. Mrs J W Stephens Dies At Sidney
Lou Sarah Stephens wife of J W Stephens died at their home near Sidney Sunday morning after a two weeks illness. Funeral services were held at Stag Creek church with Rev F P Frasier of Gorman officiating. She was born May 12 1872 in Mississippi and had lived near Sidney 29 years. Survivors include her husband two sons four daughters two brothers and several grandchildren. Burial was in Stag Creek Cemetery.
