Comanche Indian Maidens, 9-AA champions, meet Bridgeport in bi-district action next Tuesday at Granbury. Team holds a 27-2 season mark, 11-1 in district, with Seta Andrews leading scorers and a 66.4 point per game average. Comanche School Board Reviews Four New High School Designs

The Comanche School Board toured Ballinger Coleman Clifton and Granbury 2A high schools to study future building plans. Enrollments ranged from 325 to 800 with mixed facility layouts including cafeterias auditoriums and vocational spaces. All buildings featured single roof plans central libraries and centralized communications with varied flooring and exterior finishes.

Study Reveals Government Cost to Comanche Countians

A 62 page Commerce Department study shows Comanche County residents paid $201 per person for local government in the year, compared with $511 nationally and $406 in Texas. General revenue per capita was $221, with $132 from taxes and local charges. per capita debt stood at $152 locally versus $580 nationally and $528 in Texas.

Cattle Remains Found Near Proctor in Comanche County

Comanche County Sheriff’s Department investigates cattle remains found Tuesday about a quarter mile north of Proctor Cemetery. Two animals weighing 600 to 700 pounds were identified by Deputy Lloyd Biggs and investigators W B Elliont and Shiloh Garman, with grain in the paunchs indicating well fed animals.
