The Comanche FFA Chapter will sponsor a Project Show Saturday January 8 at the Comanche County Livestock Show barn. Livestock will be judged by Tommy Grona of Fredericksburg with judging starting at 8 a.m. The lineup includes 50 market barrows 10 breeding gilts 25 market lambs 6 breeding ewes 22 market steers 3 milk fed steers 12 breeding beef heifers and 20 breeding dairy heifers.

One Car Accident Near Sidney Claims Driver Injured
A one car crash occurred about 9 15 pm Thursday one half mile north of Sidney when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. Dale Merworth was treated and released at Comanche hospital while passengers Harold Hall and Terry Cox were not injured.

Fire at Comanche area dairy barn destroys hay and barn
A large hay barn about two thirds full on Merlin Davis dairy farm near Comanche's northeast limits was destroyed by fire Tuesday night. Fire crews were alerted at 9:30 and investigators suspect an electrical cause per Fire Marshal Dele Nowelin.
