Comanche rancher R H Dalton reports 150 acres of white limestone on his Sidney road property with 10 to 20 feet of depth. A Dallas building expert calls the stone the finest Texas has seen for building, testing at 2555 pounds per square inch. Plans may pursue commercial development.

Kilpatricks will move into the Evridge Building after repairs. Perry Brothers will relocate to the South side after buying Kilpatrick's building. Clemons Motor Co. plans a new Ford building near the Fort Worth Highway. Biggs Tractor Co. will move into Cas Motor's former site. A Leon River flood control hearing is scheduled January 8 in Comanche with multiple county and federal reps invited.
Comanche Lions Club distributed foods candies toys and gifts to the underprivileged on Christmas Eve. The club worked with local churches to identify those in need and gifts were handed out by Lions members and Boy Scouts.
The Comanche Chamber of Commerce gathers forty two firms to petition Christmas closures. Most business houses will stay shut Wednesday and Thursday as a holiday observance for the first time in many years.

Reginald Waggoner and Verda Nabors were married November 27 at Central Methodist Church Brownwood. The couple now reside at 502 West Central Avenue Comanche. Bride is daughter of A. E. Nabors and the groom is son of Rev. H. E. Waggoner.
At the end of the work day on Tuesday the mechanical department of The Chief will take vacation for Christmas Day and the remainder of the week. Except Christmas Day, someone will be in the office to receive subscriptions and attend to other business.
