The Gustine High Junior Class held a Christmas party Friday night at Connie Strickland’s home with Santa Claus giving gifts, games, and refreshments. Attendees included Connie Strickland, Elwyn Lane, W. M. Humphrey, James Young, Tull McGuire, Clifton Purcell, Horace Cox, J. Y. Robinson, La Verne Isham, Charline Howell, Wynona Allsup, Anna Mae Allen, Christmas Adams, Lucille Nelson, Freya Smith, Grace Moore, and sponsor J. C. Godbey.
Mr and Mrs Walter Barrett hosted a Christmas party Thursday with six 42 tables. J H Arthur won high score and Mrs Creamer of Waco took the consolation prize. Guests included Mr and Mrs John Reese Mr and Mrs Walter Durham and others at the celebration with fruit cake coffee olives and peas in Christmas colors.
