Obituary Notice for Smart Family Resident of Comanche County
Sidney Smart age 56 died December 20 in Cox County Hospital after a long illness. He lived at 1001 S Hous and was a trucking businessman in Comanche County. Survived by wife Dovie and six children including Judy Cox Billy Cox Odis Smart Don Smart and Hilton Smart. Also survived by his mother Phir rt and father r Gideon Smart. Mrs Dovie Hurt was his former spouse and he was married Aug 1995 to Helen B Banks. Funeral arrangements pending with Mrs Helen B Smart of here and five daughters also listed in the notice.

Comanche FFA Gains Honors At District Meet
Four Comanche FFA teams traveled to Stephenville for Cross Timbers District Leadership Contests. The Farm Radio team won second place and qualified for Area IV, while the Greenhand Quiz team placed third to also advance.

FFA Teams Compete In Area IB Leadership Contest
CHS FFA sent two teams to the Area IB Leadership Contest in Stephenville on December 5. The Farm Radio team of Ronny Colcleasure Wayne Creek and Bobby Reeves finished fourth with a Bermuda radio script judged for maturity clarity and appeal. Greenhand Quiz team members Ray Johnston Donnie Daniels Jimmy Kirkland and John Cauley answered 100 questions and placed fifth. Advisor Elam Miles accompanied the group.
