Lions Aim to Send Comanche Band to Lions Convention
At a band concert at the Baptist church in Comanche East land’s Hon. N N Rosenquest urged Lions support to send the Comanche American Legion Band to the Lions International convention in San Francisco next summer. He praised the band as one of Texas best and spoke on Useful Service. Rosenquest, deputy district governor, has recently addressed many Texas Lions Clubs.

Deaths S. V. Seale Endures Comanche County
S. V. Seale a longtime Comanche resident died December 17 1925 at his son R J Seales home in Comanche after a cancerous facial growth. He was 75 and buried in Oakwood Cemetery with funeral by Rev John Milton. He married N R Hodges in 1872. eight children were born, five surviving. The family relocated to Comanche County in 1878 and he was a Mount Pleasant Baptist Church member.

J H Rutherford died Tuesday December 15 1925 and was laid to rest amid a large concourse of relatives and neighbors in Mercer cemetery. He leaves two sons among a large family.

Rutherford Family Rites Mark Long Life of Comanche County Pioneer
The obituary notes four children with the eldest dying in fancy and the youngest James H Rutherford dying in 1900. Surviving sons are C. W Rutherford of the old homestead and Dre T. M Rutherford of Comanche. Born in Tennessee April 22, 1846, he moved to Texas, married Fannie Cloud in Milam County in 1869, and settled in Comanche County in 1879 on the family homestead. He joined the Methodist Church after conversion nearly forty years ago and lived as a devoted member, with a Christian exhortation about neighbors and citizens and the vision of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Christmas Day Football Game Between Has Beens and Isses
A Christmas day football game arranged for 2 30 at the local park features the Has Beens comprising former Comanche players and the Isses, the current year team. Funeral Held Here for W. E. Farmer Past Comanche ties
William Edward Farmer aged forty four died suddenly in Ballinger while returning from work. Funeral services were held at the Moore home in Comanche and burial followed in Oakwood cemetery. Survived by his wife Mrs J N Farmer of Brown and numerous brothers and sisters. Reverend Wynne and Reverend Boyd conducted services.
