Arthur McKamie Jr a De Leon High School graduate from 1938 and Navy recruit of two years died aboard the USS Arizona during the Pearl Harbor attack. Parents received Navy confirmation Tuesday. He was about 21 and reared in the Rucker community. Superintendent Davis praised him as a bright, model youth.
