Casey Bradshaw 25 was named the Abilene Police Department's second juvenile officer. Son of Mr and Mrs McCoy Bradshaw of Comanche he began the role under Lt M R Denson after Albert Hoppe moved to Crime Prevention. He joined the force March 16 1973 is a 1972 Sam Houston University graduate and has Spanish interpreting experience.

Don M. Parks son of Mr and Mrs W J Parks has been selected for promotion to Captain by a Board of Senior Officers at the USAF Military Personnel Center Randolph AFB He has served as an Instructor Pilot of the 7 38 and now leads the Under Pilot Training Applied Aerodynamics Course at Reese Air Force Base teaching T 38 Systems Operation and Flight Planning near Lubbock.
