Elton Ray McDonald a Comanche County farmer rancher was elected President of the Comanche County Farm Bureau at the last regular meeting He is the former president of the county Young Farmers Chapter and was named Outstanding Young Farmer in Texas by the Texas Jaycees in 1962 He and his wife Benita and daughter Cindy reside on their stock farm four miles north of Comanche J M Foreman was named 1st Vice President and Jack Johnson 2nd Vice President
The Rebekahs and Odd Fellows host a Christmas supper on Friday night December 4. Attendees bring a small gift for a drawing and special entertainment is planned.

A parsonage is planned at 1000 East Walcott.
Comanche High School senior Jan Robertson was chosen for the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen award based on service dependability and patriotism by the faculty. She serves as FTA vice president treasurer of the American Heritage Club and secretary of the National Honor Society.
Mr and Mrs Lannes Hope and their children Brian Kerry and Kris spent Thanksgiving in Comanche visiting Mr and Mrs N N Durham and other family members.

The electrician and air conditioning specialist operates from 303 W Arm strong and welcomes inquiries with no cost or obligation. The appointment was announced by Carrier-Bock Company of Dallas, distributors of Carrier.
The Comanche Independent School District asks the Texas Educational Agency to assist in an occupational survey aimed at expanding vocational offerings starting in fall 1965. A six-member Comanche Chamber of Commerce team will join six agency and school staff on survey teams, with business and industry cooperation urged for completion.
Mr and Mrs Bill Lane depart Sunday December 6 for the American Farm Bureau Federation annual gathering in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. They are honored guests of Nation s Agriculture magazine as one of four Outstanding Young Farmers in the JayCee program co sponsored with National LP Gas Market Development Soomell. This marks the first reunion since their selection at the national JayCee program in spring 1964 at Madison Wisconsin.

Wool producers must finalize all wool and lamb marketings by December 31, 1964 to qualify for payments in the 1964 marketing year. Chairman William F. Bryant of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee notes post deadline sales will count toward the 1965 year. Applications for 1964 payments may be filed at the ASCS County Office through January 1965.

Texas receives 356 805 acres for the 1965 peanut crop as part of a 1 610 000 acre national allotment announced by the Secretary of Agriculture William F. Bryant states the 1965 Texas allotment will be distributed among peanut producers in line with current laws. Notices will be mailed to growers.
