Comanche townsfolk thronged the courthouse square Tuesday August 25 to celebrate natural gas service. The project began July 7 and total spend upon completion nears 80 000 dollars. Old Book From 1817 Brings Treasured Family Item to Office

First Bale of Cotton Brought In From 1926 Season
The first bale of cotton for 1926 arrived Monday in Comanche from the Will Randal farm. W. A. Wilson led a 21 acre harvest with 21 hands, picking 1400 pounds of seed cotton. Ginned at Randat Gin, the bale weighed 433 pounds and sold for 82.07 with a 68.17 premium from local businessmen. FE Rauhut donated bagging and ties.
