All Women Candidates Carry County in Saturday's Primary
The Comanche county primary set a record with over four thousand five hundred votes cast last Saturday. Women appeared to have voted early in towns and countryside. Governor Hobby led county totals by 1010 over Ferguson while Johnson surpassed Moore by 1113 for lieutenant governor. Comanche County Community Labor Board Formed
K. A. Walker of San Antonio installed a Community Labor Board in Comanche County under W. H. Lewis U S Employment Service. The board includes H. Burks as chairman G. A. Bruton and C. F. Jacobs. It aims to register all male citizens to match workers to industries, on a voluntary basis, to support war labor needs. An early voluntary registration of occupations and qualifications will begin.

Mrs F O Oneal Dies at Mineral Wells
Mrs Theresa Falkner Oneal died last Saturday at Mineral Wells and was buried Monday at 10 at Comoanche. Married in January this year, she was twenty and a member of the Methodist church. The article extends sympathy to her husband and relatives.

The Red Cross last Sunday served dinner to members of the Machine Gun Troop encamped at Country Club grounds. A splendid meal was provided with many young ladies assisting. The soldiers appreciated the gesture, and the Comanche ladies earned a warm place in the troops’ hearts.
