Lloyd Taylor Seriously Injured After 60 Foot Derrick Fall

James D. Barcroft Pioneer Settler Dies in Comanche County
James D. Barcroft known as Uncle Jim died at his home six miles east of town Friday April 11 after two weeks of illness. He leaves a wife eight children two sons and six daughters, plus grandchildren and siblings. Funeral conducted at Indian Creek church with many relatives and friends.

Tragic Death of Charris McClanahan Reported in Waxahachie
A message Monday informed Mr and Mrs Wm McClanahan that their son Charris McClanahan died in Waxahachie after years of illness. He was born August 26 1900 in Salem Virginia and married July 4 1914. He lived in Comanche and Waxahachie before returning to his youth home where he breathed his last. Survived by a widow one child a brother his mother and three sisters in Collauche.
