Little Jntia Coffee died Monday night at 14 and was laid to rest Tuesday in Oakwood cemetery after funeral services by Revs Forrest Maddox and J F E Milton. She lived with her grandparents Mr and Mrs T Howell after her mother died years ago. The loss deeply grieves the elderly couple and many neighbors. Mrs S L Odell anticipates a visit from her mother Mrs J M Turk and sister Mrs Grady Tipkin arriving for a weekend gathering with friends in Comanche.

Tragic Accident Claims Three Year Old in City

W T Powers died last Friday at his home nine miles west of Comanche in Whitville. He was 63 and lived in the community for 42 years. Born in Alabama, he moved here and married Susie Hammond. Survived by his wife, four children Horace E Elizabeth Hicks Loyd Buford, two brothers John Powers of Orange Texas and Jim Powers of Bryan Texas. He served as president of the First State Bank of Comanche and was a trusted civic leader who deeply influenced the town and state. Funeral at Rock Church cemetery conducted by Pastor Carter.
