All-Sports Banquet Set Shines Light on 154 Athletes

Steve Davis former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback and 1975 national champion will headline the Comanche All-Sports Banquet this Saturday night. The event honors 154 high school girls and boys athletes across football basketball track golf and tennis with awards in football and girls and boys basketball and recognizes the most athletic boy and girl. Davis credits his father and faith for his success and will speak at the event held April 16 at 7 00 p.m. Tickets are available at local banks and the Chamber of Commerce. tickets must be purchased by Thursday noon without door sales.

Comanche County Hospital District to Purchase Community Hospital

The Comanche County Hospital District contracted to assume the existing indebtedness of Comanche Community Hospital and purchase the facility by December 31 1977. Actual operation will begin after revenue bonds are approved and sold in the next two to three months. The current medical staff will run a clinic for 12 months post takeover, after which the district and staff will renegotiate.
