Enridge to drill shallow test west of Sipe Springs
Enridge secures a drilling contract to spud a shallow test on the Jeff Morgan farm three miles west of Sipe Springs with Mr. Brewer as driller in charge. Comanche High School won first place in the district one act play contest at Brownwood last Friday night with The Dust of the Road directed by Mrs. Romeo Walker. Cast includes George Hulsey, William Cauley, Wendell Herring and Dorothy Shelton. Second and third went to Brady and Rochelle. Comanche earned place No. 1 for the West Texas contest and will compete in Brownwood next Saturday April 14 to earn a spot at the State contest in Austin.

Two Shot At Breckenridge
Breckenridge April 6 Mrs G W Reid 60 and her daughter Miss Frankie Reid are in critical condition after a double shooting at their North Breckenridge home. Mrs Reid was struck in the front with a .22 rifle. Frankie was hit in the back.
