Rights suit against Comanche ISD over 1970 tax levy
Thirty six petitioners claim Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment violations in a Comanche Independent School District tax dispute. They challenge the 1970 levy and the use of district funds to defend tax actions, alleging omission of personal property from tax rolls worth over 15 million dollars and due process and equal protection failures. The suit seeks tax refunds, injunctions, and reimbursement of attorney fees, naming district officials as defendants and listing numerous plaintiffs.
