Reopening of Adventist School After Year Closure
After a year with no teacher the Seventh Day Adventists denominational school has reopened with 13 pupils. The school offers both public and denominational studies, uses the Bible as literature, and teaches music drawing penmanship sewing and manual training under the superintendent of schools. Miss Elizabeth Conklin, a graduate of Adventist college at Walla Walla, is the teacher.

Indian Parade Opens Stevens County Fair Parade In Colville
About 600 children, 35 Indians in full tribal dress, 87 decorated autos and a band led the opening parade for Stevens County Livestock and Fair association's eighth annual show in Colville. Princess Amatop and attendants wore buckskin beadwork costumes valued at 2000 dollars. Indians from Coeur d Alene, Calispel, Colville and Spokane tribes followed, with ex service men carrying the American flag and a new fire truck among business firm floats.
