Colville Valley Electric Company Formed West of Colville
Articles of incorporation filed January 14 establish the Colville Valley Electric Company with $2000 capital and 20 shares. Twelve ranchers including L. P Johnson and G. J. Morrison form the board to build a five mile 2300 volt line linking with Stevens County Power and Light at Colville. Manager Morrison says work begins immediately. The venture will charge 4 cents per kWh to the power company and sell to stockholders.

Peter Martin died January 23 at age 81. Funeral held Tuesday at Fred H. Martin home east of the city with Rev. J. M. Huggins of the Congregational church presiding. Burial was Evergreen. Survived by widow aged 74, three daughters Minnie Cameron Rena Durland Cora Lu Smith, son Fred H. Martin, two brothers Joseph Martin Frog Lake Alberta Orson Martin Moose Jaw Sask.
