Sabbath school held every Saturday in the Adventist church. Catholic masses occur at eight and ten o'clock on first and third Sundays, and at ten o'clock on second and fourth Sundays, with Rev. E. Boll S. J. officiating.
The bulletin promotes Sunday services at 11 am. The morning sermon asks Are Sin Disease and Death Real, reflecting on spiritual themes and faith.
St Johns Episcopal invites parishioners to services every other Sunday at 10 30 and 7 80 and a special Easter service on Sunday at 10 30 led by Rev T A Daughters of Spokane. Children join a Easter carol service at 11 30 and an Easter party is set for Wednesday April 19 at 4 p m. Miss Agnes D Roberts returns from Northport and will remain until the 14th then go back for Easter.
Rev. G E Whitten presides with morning worship at 11 on Efficiency in the Church and evening service at 7 30 on One Skate. All welcome to attend.

Rev. Guy Denney and Mrs. Denney are honored by their congregation with a cash offering and two quilts as they close their year of service. They will attend the annual conference next week and preach farewell Sunday afternoon. Congregation members hosted a reception at Sam Robinson’s home Wednesday with a sump tuous dinner.
Congregational schedule lists morning worship at 11 and evening services with Junior and Senior Endeavor programs. Botanical guidance from Dr. J W Hotson advises pruning roses on dull days, shaping climbers, and cutting on cloudy days to minimize bleeding. A daughter was born April 1 to Mr and Mrs John W Lowe.
L. B. Donley announces a mass Democratic convention at the court house Friday April 14 to elect 10 delegates for the state convention at Olympia May 24. A 6:30 Jefferson banquet charges $1 per plate with outside speakers then a Spokane state committee meeting April 18 at 1 p.m. with National Chairman Cordell Hull present and a 6:30 annual Jefferson day dinner in Spokane at $1 per plate.
The Stevens county game commission offers farmers a dollar per pheasant head for hatching and raising Chinese pheasants. Eggs from the state farm at Walla Walla will be provided free with contracts to hatch and deliver 8 week old birds to Colville. May 1 delivery.
The funeral of Cornelius H. Pierce was held March 9 at the First M E church with Dr A A Brooks presiding and burial in Oakland cemetery. Pierce born April 30 1867 near Fort Dodge died March 1 1922 in Orient Washington at age 54 years 10 months.
The obituary notes the passing of a devoted man who lived by high ideals and fought a good fight. He leaves five brothers and four sisters across Iowa and Wyoming, with his father having died in 1909. Surviving siblings include William T. of Oakdale Louisiana Roy A. of Powell Wyoming Frank W. of Sioux City Ray and Harry of Barnum Iowa Mrs B F Burns Twin Lakes Iowa Mrs M A Law Emmetsburg Iowa and Carrie and Elizabeth of Barnum.
Great Northern notes include 2 cars of poles sent to Sandpoint for treatment, a car of shingles to Spokane, and cinders for depot crossing at Colville. Colville Feed received a car of hay. The line advertises attractive round trip rates to eastern and southern cities with long terms before expiration, posters distributed by agents, and promises of summer vacation options in old hometowns.
The PTA plans its initial session Tuesday April 11 at eight o’clock in the court house. A bylaws vote and committee appointments will occur. A review of Mrs Malstrom address from Inland Empire Teachers Association will be presented. Discussions cover parent cooperation in school work and pupil social activities outside school hours. Also noted is a family reunion story of John Cleveland visiting Trout Creek and relatives in the area.
