Hall County Sheriff says he was misunderstood
Hall County Sheriff Charles Headley said he was misunderstood Thursday morning when he discussed Mrs. Dertice Peak’s condition after a shooting incident that killed her husband and teen daughter two weeks earlier. Lincoln hospital reports her condition improved, but relatives say she worsened. Headley clarifies he did not speak with her himself. Autopsies indicate the shootings occurred about 20 hours before discovery. Two Lincoln suspects, Lennig Norman and David Jenkins, are being questioned after deputies left for Billings to extradite them on felony drug warrants. Lancaster County deputies will remain at Mrs. Peak’s bedside.
