The Agriculture Department said prices for raw farm products fell eight percent in the month ending Oct 15, pulling the farm parity ratio to its lowest since Oct 1968. The monthly report on farm product prices and farmers' costs highlighted the drop.
Ford Motor Co says its new labor deal covering 170000 workers will raise costs by 486 million dollars in the first year, a 13 percent rise, with the 3 year contract valued at over 1 billion dollars overall. The company will detail the strike impact in its upcoming third quarter report.
