Brazil opens a new state of the art international airport in Brasilia praised as the most modern in Latin America. The $27 million facility features a three mile runway capable of handling twelve Boeing 707 jets, closed circuit surveillance, emergency generators, and a three story white marble facade. Architect Tereso Fontana Pachea toured world airports to inform the design. Passenger services include medical care, duty free shops, and bilingual staff. Brig. Jose Maria Coutinho Marques says the airport positions Brazil among the world’s best.

Joint office opens for Albion groups at Church Street
The Office of Chambers begins operations as a joint venture of the Albion Chamber of Commerce Albion Jaycees and Albion Development Corporation.
