Missionary Society Donates To Local Funds

Albion Women’s Missionary Society met at Mrs. Raymond Meneely’s home with Rev. Wanda Clausen in charge. Child Returned to Mother in Wisconsin Custody Case

In Sanuayanary Wisconsin a four year old Oglala Sioux girl Benita Rowland was returned to her mother after nine months with two rural Whitewater women. Circuit Court Judge Arthur Tuebke ordered the return from Danette Behr and Judith Athas. Mrs Frieda Yellow Hair Moore’s attorney questioned permanent custody and the mother’s understanding. Moore resides on Pine Ridge Reservation South Dakota. Hospital note: Jim Rousey, son of Dr and Mrs Alvin Rousey of Lakewood Florida, in VA Lincoln hospital after pneumonia contracted in Nebraska two weeks ago. wife Ardith Held of Leigh, Nebraska.
