The Nebraska Public Power District Board authorized selling 50 million dollars in power development notes. Halsey-Stuart Co. Inc. & Associates of New York City won the bid with an effective rate of 8.60 percent. First Boston Corp was the other bidder. A low pressure system and cold front shifted across Nebraska, bringing much cooler weather. East of the front, southerly winds and rain possible while central regions saw clear to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures dipped, with northwest Nebraska already lower than Tuesday. Edward LeRoy Rieb Schlager of Pueblo Colorado was sentenced in District Court Vitestay by Judge C Thomas White. He was sent back to Platte County Jail for 90 days with credit for 79 days. He received two years probation and must stay in Platte County until restitution is made. Richbuchlager was arrested Sept 6 by Columbus Police after using an air rifle to break windows at several Columbus firms with damage estimated at zero dollars.
