Harsh winter weather hits Nebraska with heavy snow
Two low pressure systems brought moderate to heavy snow to western Nebraska and light snow to the east. The National Weather Service issued heavy snow warnings for the Panhandle and north central areas and traveler advisories in central and southeastern Nebraska as temperatures dropped into the teens and twenties and winds gusted up to 40 mph.
