The Central Platte district board will meet at 7:30 p m on November 2 at district headquarters. The agenda centers on irrigation reuse structures and a demonstration on a Merrick County farm as part of cooperative efforts.
The district board will decide on two flood control structures for Polk County and whether to participate with cost shares. Status reports on drainage projects in Nance Platte and Hall counties are expected, with maps prepared by the North River Commission and district technicians in Lincoln. Mr and Mrs William Brunken and Macjean of Columbus attended the Mission Bible program Sunday at the Baptist Church. Macjean was one of two who received special recognition for completing 10 years of Bible verse study.
Donald Crasier of Lincoln representing the American Petroleum Institute spoke to Albion Kiwanis members about the energy crisis. A discussion followed and the group adopted the Medic Alert plan for the country, urging bracelets for certain illnesses to alert emergency personnel, with rollout expected after Christmas.
