Plains Church Votes to Admit Negroes and All Worshippers
The Plains Baptist Church in Georgia voted 120 to 66 to admit all persons who want to worship Jesus Christ, overruing a 1965 ban on blacks. Carter, present with his family, urged peacemaking as the congregation set up a committee to review membership. Carter plans to transfer his membership to Washington in January but will still worship there when possible.

Falls City Man Among Two Killed In Nebraska Weekend
Two traffic deaths reported in Nebraska over the weekend. Virgil Hansen, 55, of Falls City died in a one car crash 5.5 miles west of Falls City at 12:40 p m Sunday. Noah I 33 of Oglala South Dakota was killed in a separate one car crash northeast of a county road with a passenger injured.
