The Nebraska Center hosts a Dec. 9 day long program on state and federal labor rules for farmers. Experts from regulatory agencies and industry join in to cover Workmen's Compensation pesticide certification wage and hour rules OSHA and related topics. The Nebraska Agribusiness Club will recognize four individuals for service to agriculture at its 10th annual awards banquet on November 19 at the Lincoln Elks Club. Honorees include Howard Elm, Clifford Ashburn, Raymond Burke, and Wesley Hansen. Cordell Tindall will speak on The Bicentennial Farmer. About six million small windmills have been built since the mid-1800s, with roughly 150,000 still in operation.
