Washington report says three more DES contaminated steer livers were found in Iowa Illinois and Texas bringing total positives to 21 among 4 224 cattle and sheep livers tested this year at a 2 2 percent rate. DES also known as diethylstilbestrol had been banned in animal feed from January 4 by FDA. implants under the ear skin may be allowed if ongoing tests show no residue risk.
