Albion man charged in deaths in üç-vehicle crash
Albion 20 year old Robert J. Borer faces two counts of motor vehicle homicide after a three vehicle crash near Albion on September 27 that killed Nancy Karges 17 and James Beerman 17 both of Albion. Platte County awards two low bids and names zoning appointees
Platte County Board of Supervisors accepted two low bids for a sheriff cruiser from Rogers-Riley Motor Co. at 4480 dollars and a highway department pickup from Nielsen Chevrolet at 4620 dollars. Voters in School District 24 Platte Center approved an $188000 bond issue with $27000 sinking fund cash to build a 215000 project including land and improvements. The plan adds five classrooms library gym and dining area and a teachers’ work area with construction to start when weather allows and be ready by fall. Levy is estimated at 5.2 mills to pay bonds, while a 3 mill sinking fund is stopped making the net increase 2.2 mills.
